I have one more room done. This time it is the office. Boy was it a pain to move everything out of the office!! This room also doubled as our junk room so just imagine the mess!! I have finished the floor and put the computer back into the room, but nothing else is in. I am too tired to put the rest in so it will have to wait for another day. Tomorrow's big plans are to stain the new deck. Unless it is raining, then it will be off to the hardware store to get floor trim for the office. When I was pulling the old stuff off, it kept cracking. It was so old, original 1970's trim!! Imagine the ugliness. I will take pictures tomorrow when I have more energy.

Still Remodeling
As you can see from the title, I am still remodeling the house. I get so tired doing the floor that I do 1 room a week. Then I take 1 week off before I do another room. This week was supposed to be my work week but I am watching the nephews again so I had to put my floor on hold. I just need to get it done before I start school next month. So my last project was my bedroom. I have pictures to show how it turned out. I ended up painting it 2 times. The first time it was a mint green. I thought it was gong to turn out darker than it did, but sadly, no. So I then painted it a medium brown. This time it turned out darker that I thought it would!! That was so wrong!!So to lighten up the room, I painted the awful, ugly closet doors white. I really LOVE the white doors. It really lightens up the room when all the curtains are closed. The next step is to replace the trim and add crown molding. But that will happen after I get the rest of the floors done.
The frist 2 pictures are from the end of my frist day. As you can see, I had a long way to go. You can also see the mint green paintont he walls.
This is after the walls and doors had been painted. The brown was really pretty but so very very dark. The whites doors really lighten it up.
Here you can see all my tools still on the ground, but this is my new sitting area in my room. Now I have a place to sit and read.

Remodeling
I have spent the past 4 days remodeling my living room. It all started on Saturday when I had an allergy attack because of all the dust in my carpet. So I got ambitions and torn up the carpet. Then, seeing as I already had the wood for the floor in my garage, I thought that Sunday would be a good day to lay it down. Barry was not so happy about this. I had told him that as soon as I was done babysitting the nephews that I was going to start on the floor. He had forgotten this and was quite put out by my sudden urge to do the floors. So my helpers turned out to be Nathan and Michael.
I didn't take before pictures because I forgot. But here is what the floor looked like about a third of the way done. I was hooking into the existing wood floor in the kitchen so it looks like I have done a ton, when really at this point I had layed about 30 rows. But those 30 rows included the LONG hallway too. Also, I should note that these pictures were taken by Michael with the kids camera. (My camera has a dead battery and the charger seems to be hiding under all the displaced mess from the rest of the house.) He is quite the budding photographer!!
So after I finally finished the floor, all but the baseboards and a 1 inch gap between the last row and the wall, I decided to secretly paint the room without Barry knowing about it. So I picked out the color and bought the paint brought it home and threw it on the wall. I was thinking that it would be a terrible shame to move all the furniture back in to the room and then out again to paint so I did it all at one time. The paint is drying on the wall around the table as we speak. But I threw the furniture into the room and took a few pictures of it. Now the trim isn't on yet and the furniture isn't touching the walls and the bookshelves are mostly bare but this is how it looks put together.
