So Many Things

It is past Christmas and once again, I have forgotten to send the Christmas cards out. That was due to the fact that Barry and I drove to AZ to see my family for the holidays and I just didn't have time- between school letting out for the semester and planning the trip to AZ I just plain ran out of time.
As I mentioned in my last post, grades were coming out and I managed to get all A's for the semester! I am so proud of myself, I took 6 classes and managed to do well in all of them - not bad for being out of school for 13 years!
The trip to AZ was eventful! The first part of the drive was very short due to the snowstorm that we ran into in Iowa. We got as far as Fort Dodge and had to stop because we couldn't see the end of the car as we drove down the road. The next day when we got up the car was engulfed in snow up to the windows. Barry had to dig us out before we could continue on. When we were driving that day, there was an accident RIGHT IN FRONT OF US in Oklahoma. Of course we stopped to render aid. When we did, there were 2 other cars of active duty army personnel that stopped to help also. When we finally got back on the road we were so far behind our scheldule that we didn't make it to Pete's house (my brother) until 2 am! Of course he lives in New Mexico so it was a long drive to begin with, but with all the stopps, it seemed to last for a week. It was a good 20 something hour drive and we were exhausted in the end, but to sleep in a real bed for the night was great and we spent the next day with my brother and his wife. They took us to the zoo and aquarium. It was a great day. As for now, that is all. I have to get ready to go celebrate Christmas with Barry's family tonight. Hopefully I will have time in teh next few days to post about the rest of our vacation.

Done

School is officially out for the semester. Grades will be posted sometime this week and I will know what I got in all my classes. We leave for Arizona for Christmas this week. The boys are really excited to go. They really want to see the Grand Canyon and all the cousins. I am looking forward to getting out of the cold! Last night and today we had a wind chill advisory out. The temperature outside is -6 but with the wind it feels like -40!! I can't wait until we get to warmer weather.

One Week To Go

There is one week until finals week! This is the week where everybody is feeling a little bit grumpy and the stress level is unbearable! But I am one of the lucky ones - I do not have any test finals this semester. All my finals were projects and I am glad that I have all but one done. So next week I will be out for the semester!
