My week has been fun and busy at the same time. Grannie was sick this week (she normally watches her other grandkids, Barry's sister's kids). Since we were here and able to, I took over watching them for the week. It is amazing how creative kids can be when they have nothing to play with. Now I must explain a few things first. We are still waiting for our household goods to get here from Germany and my house holds only 3 beds, 1 computer (with desk), 3 tv's (1 was borrowed and the others came in our unaccompanied baggage). 1 set of table and chairs, 4 chairs and 1 couch. So there is a lot of empty space for a 2 and 4 year old (not to mention my own kids) to play in. Lots of empty space to a 2 and 4 year old means the house is a race track. Let's see how fast we can go up and down the stairs!! Thank goodness all the running around wears them out for their nap!! The kids are very sweet and lovable... especially when they are napping!! Anyway, I was going to tell you all how creative these 2 kids are. We bought a vacuum and gave the box to the 2 little boys and they colored it and turned it into a train/race car. For one it was a train, for the other it was the car. Now this box has a pull out piece of cardboard that has a natural bend in it where it goes up the side of the box. They colored that piece also, but Zack, the 2 year old, turned it into his snowmobile. It was so much fun watching them play with this box. I guess it doesn't matter how expensive the toy is, give them the box and they will be happy.
