Nothing New

Nothing new has happened but at the same time lots of stuff is going on. Last week I went and applied at the local college. I am still waiting for the acceptance/rejection letter to come in the mail. Barry signed in off leave and then was given an additional 10 days tdy - for those of you who don't understand military lingo it just means he has 10 more days off before he has to go back to work. I have a doctor's appointment next week to see about these hives I've been getting. I jokingly told Barry that I was allergic to MN and he had better take me back to Germany. Seriously though, since we have been here, I have broken out in hives at least 10 times and I itch constantly. So I thought I would go see if the doctors can fix me. I haven't been to a civilian doctor since I was 20 so this will be a little different than what I am used to. We drove up to Minneapolis to get our ID cards renewed. While we were there, we stopped at the Mall of America and the Ikea that is right there. I LOVE Ikea. But after we left, I realized just how homesick for Germany I really was. I think I would rather be happily oblivious to being homesick because now that I know I am, it just sucks. The boys are doing fine. They are loving their schools. Nathan was a little behind coming from Germany, but Michael was a lot ahead. So I guess it evens itself out eventually. Nathan is catching up just fine with a little extra help from mom and Michael is just sailing through completely impressing his teacher. Our stuff should be here in a few more weeks. I can't wat!! I want my own bed again. I think the kids will never complain about their stuff again!!
