Miracles do happen!! Our things arrived on Thursday, 20 March. They were about 2 weeks early. We were not expecting them until April!! The army must have moved fast this time. We looked on the paperwork and saw that they reached port on 20 February. (That was less than a month after we shipped them.) Then they have to be inspected by customs. After customs is through checking to see if we were trying to smuggle anything in, which of course we weren't, they released them to be trucked to Minnesota. Once they reached the warehouse, we were called and scheduled a delivery date. All in all, it took less time than we thought for everything. We expected the unpacking of the truck to take all day. Normally they get to the house early (well, early for movers anyway) and then take all day to unload the truck. This time, they showed up around 9:30 and were finished around 1:30. It was pretty amazing to watch them pull stuff off the truck. It was a LOT of stuff. We are still unpacking everything in the house, We had just over 6000 pounds of stuff. that's not bad. The army authorizes Barry's rank11000 pounds of stuff. That means they will move 11000 pounds of stuff before they charge you. So the motto is DON"T GO OVER WEIGHT!! Anyway, I have tons of stuff to unpack and my time is up for my break.
